The year 2020 began on a tragedy note as corona virus hit the entire world bringing about economy meltdown. Many people died as a result of covid-19 and some are still battling between life and dead.

Businesses, place of worships, schools, travel agencies, and other institutions were also shut down for several months to curb the spread of the virus.

Government and health sector in the country need to work together to curb the further spread of corona virus in order to foster economy growth.

We are in an era where certificate does not validate our future. Our immediate environment needs innovative minds; individuals who can create something tangible out of those things we consider as waste.

Have you ever thought a pure water empty sachet and other plastic bags can be recycled into interlocking tiles which in turn is used in beautifying our homes? Oh! Yes, it can. A resident of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Mrs Intasir Bashir Kurfi has made it a duty to go round the city of Abuja to collect tons of waste daily and recycle it into a fine finished products.

This is a call to great Nigerian innovative minds to use this opportunity to becoming self-employed and keep the country clean.

The school environment is a place of learning and social interaction among individuals from different walks of life. Kaduna Polytechnic, being one of the best higher learning institution in Nigeria and Africa as a whole is doing all it takes to protect it image and integrity in terms of students appearance to school.

Students often dress inappropriately without adhering to the school dress code. Exposing one’s sensitive parts of the body speaks less of such individual among right thinking people in the society.

In order to curb indecent dressing in Kaduna Polytechnic, the school management set up a committee in line with the school security personnel to ensure students abide by the laid down rules and regulations of the school dress code.

Children are a gift from God. They deserve some love, care, affection and attention from both parents and government in the society in which they are born.

Child abuse in Nigeria is on the increase as many parents cannot afford to pay tuition fees for their children. Many out of school children are exposed to health hazard and sexual molestation in their quest to earn a living.

In an effort to combat child abuse in Nigeria, the Federal Government, in 2003 introduced the Child right Law to domesticate the Convention on the rights of the child. This is a clarion call to parents and well meaning Nigerians to come together and fight this evil act.

A man may conceive great idea(s) that could make the world a better place in the future but making that idea a reality may seem to be a herculean task. You need to convince yourself that you can actualize your ideas come what may and also network with those who share similar ideas as you to make your dreams reality. Take a bold step and the rest would be history.

Ability to know the real gives you strength to fight the fake. Whatever you are going through starts from the mind; as such, you need to activate the power of the mind. You are the original you not a duplicate. Don’t let anyone look down on you. The uniqueness of our existence lies in our differences. Discover what you have inside of you and build on it. Remember, life is in stages, you need to take a step and remember your performance in a stage determines the next stage. It is said that life is not a bed of roses, even though is being made of roses; roses do have thorns despite they are beautiful. Whatever life present to you, bring out the best in it. This is what makes great men.
